# The package

<Package>UGALY</Package> (Universal Groups Acting LocallY) is a <a href="https://www.gap-system.org/">GAP</a> package that provides methods to create, analyse and find local actions of generalised universal groups acting on locally finite regular trees, following <a href="http://www.numdam.org/item/PMIHES_2000__92__113_0/">Burger-Mozes</a> and <a href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2002.09876">Tornier</a>.

# Development

<Package>UGALY</Package> was developed by <a href="https://www.newcastle.edu.au/profile/khalil-hannouch">Khalil Hannouch</a> and <a href="https://www.newcastle.edu.au/profile/stephan-tornier">Stephan Tornier</a> within the <a href="https://zerodimensional.group/">Zero-Dimensional Symmetry Research Group</a> in the <a href="https://www.newcastle.edu.au/school/mathematical-and-physical-sciences">School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences</a> at <a href="https://www.newcastle.edu.au/">The University of Newcastle</a>, Australia.

Contributions were later made by Tasman Fell within the same research group.
