#! @Description Uses a basic stabiliser chain for $G$ to compute the
#! sum described above. This trick requires <A>summand</A> to be a
#! function (in the GAP sense) that defines a monoid homomorphism (in
#! the mathematical sense). The computation of the stabiliser chain
