This folder contains lists of JVM flags, related to JEP 396: Strongly Encapsulate JDK Internals by Default
NetBeans breaks the encapsulation of the java module system in several places,
for example by reflectively accessing some internals of the javac API.
To allow that, JMS requires the JVM (JDK 16+) to be configured with flags specifying the exceptions.
example:
--add-opens=jdk.compiler/com.sun.tools.javac.api=ALL-UNNAMED
This folder is not intended to specify module dependencies.
There should be hopefully fewer flags over time, devs are encouraged to shrink
the list if possible. Once the NetBeans module system has been made JMS aware,
there might be better places for specifying this exceptions.
format:
the flags are grouped by category, filename specifies the category, one flag per line, no comments or other strings allowed
to make usage outside of java programs (e.g CI job configs, copy&paste into maven poms, netbeans.conf) as simple as possible.
